I’m sure you’ve spent the day wondering about my first weigh in after rejoining Weight Watchers. I’m going to tell you…but first the disclaimer.
I didn’t lose as much as others do following their first week on this plan. After all, I had already been eating clean. The main difference is I ate more fruits and veggies than I had been, and my daily points allowance created some much needed portion control. With that said…
I lost 2.6 pounds. Not exactly the results of a Biggest Loser contestant, but I am very pleased. Even though I’ve been on a plateau forever for a few months, I hadn’t gained back weight. So the weight I lost is new weight, if that makes any sense.
I really like WW’s revamped program and it’s emphasis on clean eating. I don’t think there is enough guidance for people who exercise as much as I do. Corinne over at Phit n Phat, recommends we eat one point of food for every 100 calories burned. I burned 575 calories while running today, so I gave myself five extra points on today’s food plan.
So there you have it. Nothing earth-shattering. Just good, healthy weight loss. I’ll take it.
And that, my friend, is the way to do it. No overnight miracles, no magic pills; slow and steady progress. I’d say this is a success.
Aww, thanks, Chris! You encourage me more than you’ll ever know.
