As I mentioned on Saturday, I spent a few days last week in New Orleans’ French Quarter, one of my favorite hangouts. While hubs spent the day cooped up in meetings, I got to bum around on my own. This introvert loved it.
I especially enjoyed doing my morning runs there. I most often run in the burbs or on greenways, so urban running in a city with such history and interesting architecture was a welcomed change of pace. I wore my Garmin GPS watch just to get an idea of my mileage. I didn’t worry about my pace; there were too many stops at intersections. The Quarter was just starting to wake up. It was heavenly.
