I’m pushing out a quick post, not because I think you are dying to know how my wheat detox is going, but because posting holds me accountable.
I pretty much sailed through the first two days. I chalk it up to the excitement around restarting a wheat-free way of life. In fact, last night hubs and I went out to a local club for dinner and live music. Nashville music venues aren’t known for their food menus, but I managed to order a delish salad that was Wheat Belly compliant.
And then we have today: Day 3. I’ve been sucker-punched by wheat cravings and light dizziness. I don’t feel angry or grouchy (to hub’s great relief), but I’m experiencing some mild malaise. I know what I’m experiencing is part of the withdrawal process. This too shall pass, so I plan to soldier on.
What about you? Are you wheat-free? Please feel free to share your experience, strength and hope in the comments section. I’m particularly interested in learning about any health issues that have disappeared since you gave up wheat.
I love my bread too much to go wheat free. I have reduced my consumption though over the last few years.
I get that! I have too many I’ll effects from eating wheat, though. Reading Wheat Belly was a real eye opener. I’m currently reading Grain Brain. Interesting info!
