Leiper’s Fork, Tennessee, where have you been all my life? Today was my first trip to this little slice of Heaven located about 45 minutes from my home.
A group of friends and I rode the Femme Fondo, a women’s bike ride produced by Gran Fondo bike shop co-owner Vida Greer. Riders had a choice of 12, 32 and 60 mile rides. My group chose the 12 mile. It was a beautiful pre-autumn day and we had a blast. We rode at a leisurely pace and when a hill or two was a bit much, we walked.

My knight in shining armor. I dropped my chain. Argh. A member of the Gran Fondo team repaired my middle ring at mile 3.5. My chain stayed in place the rest of the ride.

I ran out of water at this point. Shame on me. Cashless, my friend Delores bought me a water here and it was indeed “a big lift.”
We had such a great time today. I’ve added this event to my “must do every year” list.
Glad to have stumbled across your post! I am from Murfreesboro, not all too familiar with Franklin and certainly never heard of Leiper’s Fork either. However, we have Cannonsburgh Village located in Murfreesboro which seems to be a sizable comparison to Leiper’s and Franklin. I would love to try that bike ride next year though! Looks very pretty
Hi, Cathy! I think you’ll enjoy Femme Fondo. I’ve never ridden in Cannonsburgh Village. I’ll have to check it out! Thanks for the tip.
