Snapshot Saturday: March Against Monsanto

I’m an average lady from the burbs. I go to church, I work, I volunteer, I work out (a lot), I garden, I read…you get the picture.

In other words, I’m not a fixture at protest rallies. But as I’ve learned more about our nation’s hideous food supply, the non-GMO movement is a cause I’ve taken up. That’s why I wanted to be a part of today’s world-wide March Against Monsanto effort. I don’t agree with everything that’s posted on MAM’s national Facebook page (I’m not anti-capitalism), but I’m completely on board with the idea that we should know what we are eating. GMO foods should be labeled as such.

My recently operated-on foot didn’t allow me to actually march, so I hung out at the rally for a few hours, camera in hand. Here are a few shots from the day.

This is Jeffrey. His wife is a friend of mine and he and I are Facebook friends who met for the first time today. He and I practically share a brain.
