Today marks the one year anniversary of my unsuccessful marathon attempt. In short, I made it to Mile 21 of the Air Force Marathon when the race officials swept the course. It was a sad day for me.
Today also marks the official first day of training for my next marathon attempt, the Little Rock Marathon in March, 2013. I’m using a six-month training plan and I promise you the start date naturally fell on today. I didn’t plan it.
The irony of this timing isn’t lost on me. For the past year I’ve dwelled on what I didn’t accomplish. But now it’s time to look toward the future and discover what I can do.
I like that.
