The Past Two Weeks


I’ve been away from my blog for about two weeks. Last week my family and I were in sunny Florida. The condo didn’t have wi fi and I was too cheap to pay for it. The week before that our home was burglarized. That really threw me off my rhythm. So here’s a quick update on my training for the last two weeks.

Two weeks ago: I missed one training session. I was up so late the night we discovered the home invasion, I just decided to sleep in the next morning. The rest of the week found me training per usual.

Last week: I was pleased with what I was able to accomplish while on vacation. I completed my three weekday runs for a total of 18 miles. I biked three days (almost got hit by a car during one outing) and swam laps once. I also hit the weight room on two occasions. In short, my training routine was practically perfect.

In my next post I’ll tell you about Sunday’s 18-mile run back in hot, humid Nashville. Spoiler alert: Coach Lynn almost had to wash out my mouth with soap. I completely lost all sense of humor at Mile 16.
