Motivated Out of Complacency

For the past I don’t know how long, I’ve been playing with the same five or so pounds. Lose a few, gain a few, lose them again. I think I’m going through a period of complacency. I’ve lost 94 pounds for Heaven’s sake. That’s a lot. I feel fantastic. But I’ve got more to go before my doctor and I are satisfied. I’ve been in need of some motivation. I got it last night.

I was surfing around on Facebook when I noticed a friend had changed his profile picture. I hardly recognized him.

Ya’ll! He’s lost a bunch of weight. He looks fantastic.

My. Jaw. Dropped.

I immediately emailed him to find out what in the world he’s doing to make such a remarkable transformation. He’s big weight loss secret?

Wait for it…..

He’s eating clean and exercising.

Um. That’s pretty much what I was doing before I got too comfy with my accomplishments. I’m still exercising, but my weight loss stall is proof my food plan has not been clean, even though I continue to abstain from foods that for me are addictive.

After learning that my friend’s success comes from eating clean…just like I had been…I’m super-motivated to get back on track and finish this weight loss journey.

I’m begging him to write a guest post for me. My fingers are tightly crossed that he will. I want you to learn more about his success. I bet you’ll be as inspired as I am.
